Noelle Williams
TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF
Hi! I'm Noelle and I'm a birth and postpartum doula. I was born and raised on an island off the coast of Maine and grew up with Acadia National Park as my backyard. As a former Air Force spouse, I have traveled and lived in some of the most beautiful places in the United States. My family and I moved to San Antonio in 2019. I enjoy spending my free time with my 3 wonderful kiddos, big fur baby goldendoodle, and husband. I love to read, hike, travel, and bake.
HOW DID YOU COME TO DOULA WORK?
As a former military spouse, I realized the resources and support available to those families were limited. I gave birth to my first baby far away from my friends/family in a new place. I suffered from PPD/PPA and a few years later as a part of my healing, I decided to look into how I could help others like me. I switched my career field and became a doula -- immediately I knew I was doing the work that healed my soul and would help so many others.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST OR FIND MOST REWARDING ABOUT DOULA WORK?
The best part about doula work for me is helping to establish a "village" for a new family. In many other cultures it is very normal to have someone taking care of the Mom and baby, with absolutely no guilt. I love being able to guide and affirm to my clients that they are the perfect match for their babies and help them gain the confidence over time to listen to their inner voice. The most rewarding part is making beautiful human connections with amazing people from all walks of life.
WHAT ARE YOUR SPECIALTIES OR AREAS OF PARTICULAR PASSION?
I specialize in Postpartum and infant care but I'm also passionate about evidence based birth as well. I feel very comfortable in a hospital setting, and just as comfortable in a home birth setting. I adapt well to the changes that occur in the birth and postpartum stage and love the opportunity to be invited into someone's space to be a part of this special time.
